There is a situation where you did not CHECK OUT the object and made many modifications...and if you CHECK OUT now all the modifications will be gone
If you want to save those modifications there a concept called Fake Check Out
1. Open the Object with its Designer Tool in OMW.
2. Check-Out the Object in OMW
3. Save the Object in its Designer Tool
Now you can Check IN the object,all the modifications will be saved
