Vocabulary Override in Application - Keypoint

a) Do the Vocabulary Override in the right project. Should not do it in the Test / Default project.                                                    

b) When you do the Vocabulary Override the spec are locked and can not used that DD item in that time.                   

c) So after complete the Vocabulary Override, close the Application in the right way to release the specs.                         

d) Once you close the application , the specs goes to the Server. So if you perform a Unit Test , first perform  a Get then only the latest specs will reflect in your workstation

Fake CheckOut

There is a situation where you did not CHECK OUT the object and made many modifications...and if you CHECK OUT now all the modifications will be gone
If you want to save those modifications there a concept called Fake Check Out

1. Open the Object with its Designer Tool in OMW.
2. Check-Out the Object in OMW
3. Save the Object in its Designer Tool

Now you can Check IN the object,all the modifications will be saved

Visual ER Compare Tool

Once in the ER compare application, you will see this screen.

Click on ‘Remote Specifications’ option.

 

 

Click OK

In the next screen, browse to (Path given by Client)

“\\wapperpd02\e810\dv810\spec” for DV810 path code

And then run the comparison.

So you can get Old Version(8.10) and Latest Version code.
